Recommendation and Review | Revenge of the Tipping Point | Malcom Gladwell

Malcom’s Gladwell’s follow-up to his 90s bestseller The Tipping Point is a fascinating study of a narrative’s influence on human behavior at scale.

The Tipping Point is the inflection point where a powerful narrative can change direction with positive or negative outcomes; like the moment a group of survivors decides to heal by telling their story to the world, or the point at which an epidemic of teenage suicides tragically plagues an affluent suburb.

The Revenge bookends the piece — and it is an indictment of those responsible for the opioid epidemic. Without mercy, Gladwell shines a light on a double-dealing business strategy designed to dodge accountability by wielding carefully chosen words, and a brazen comeback strategy designed to restore obscene profitability by pushing product to a handful of candy men.

This book is an eye-opening adventure.

I recommend the audio version of Revenge of the Tipping Point because Gladwell narrates it himself, and it includes clips from some of his interviews, as well as the events that took place in court.
